We come back from our night out feeling exhausted more often than not. Naturally, we want to dive under the covers and fall asleep. After all, we’ve just danced all night, had a few drinks, and are returning home in the early hours of the morning.

However, an important routine you should never overlook is taking off your makeup before going to bed. It can be tiring, but it becomes much more manageable when you have makeup removal products at hand.

The different makeup products on your face won’t give it enough room to breathe, which will also trigger an outbreak. Additionally, suppose your makeup products contain stearic acid, lauric acid, algae extract, acetylated lanolin, and other chemical compounds.

These ingredients can trigger an outbreak of acne while also preventing your face from having breathing room. In that case, it’s a bad idea to leave your makeup on throughout the night.

4. It can lead to skin infections and rashes

Skin infections and rashes have higher chances of happening when you expose your skin to makeup through the night. It’s even riskier for those with sensitive skin, as you’ll be compromising your skin barrier and exposing it to inflammation.


Getting dolled up now and then doesn’t harm the skin. However, failing to wipe off your makeup and engage in healthy skincare routines may result in several skin conditions.
